He was born in Wuxi in 1955 and graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Nanjing University of The Arts in 1989. He studied in the Department of Book Binding, Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. He is an art editor of Zhong Shan magazine of Jiangsu Writers Association and lives in Nanjing. In addition to contemporary art creation, he also has a great research on ancient furniture of ancient buildings. He presided over the renovation of the ancient buildings of The Zhizhu Temple in Beijing, which won the "UNESCO Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Award".
